This early 80's classic horror gem has been lost in release limbo for sometime. The cast contains many familiar faces you'll recognize, including an early role by Robert Englund. The story has travellers wandering through a small town and being violently murdered, then show up again as residents. The town sheriff is completely baffled by both the murders and his wife's strange behaviour…. Written by Dan O'Bannon with special effect by Stan Winston.

DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE

In a small village in northern Italy, a young man named Francesco Dellamorte works and lives in the local churchyard. When the dead start coming to life, Dellamorte takes on the duty of making sure they do not enter the land of the living. Dellamorte's only friend is Gnaghi, a small, ugly and mute man that shares the redundant and melancholy existence. No one believes the bizarre epidemic that is going on and soon Dellamorte starts to lose his strength and desire to deal with the situation. He later gets inspired after meeting his ideal women who first appears as a widow, then as the mayor's secretary, and finally as a young prostitute. Michele Soavi's third feature is one of the most original films in sometime. It cleverly delves into gothic romanticism but still follows the themes and structure of a classic Italian horror movie.

It's not long after they arrive before a weird voodoo couple show up and warn them that bad things are going to happen in the near future. Soon enough zombies start to show up and begin chowing down on human flesh. The couple still manage to squeeze in some hanky panky though when not dodging the living dead. Directed by sleeze master Joe D'Amato.

ZOMBIE: DAWN OF THE DEAD

When Dario Argento produced George A. Romero's horror masterpiece, the deal was he was allowed to alter the film however he deemed fit for it's European release. Argento left all gore intact, snipped out a bit of dialogue, and relied solely on Goblin for the score. The end product is a suprisingly fast paced action movie that is very different than what you're used to seeing.

A group of terrorists steal some nerve toxin from a secret military base and it accidentally gets into and contaminates a city's water supply. Now all the people of the city are turning into flesh craving zombies and the chaos starts to erupt. Lucio Fulci was originally the director of Zombi 3, but after having irreconcilable differences with the producers he left the set. Bruno Mattei was asked to come in and pick up the pieces to finish the film. Filled with as much blood, guts, and maggots as the first.
